Ludvig Holmen
London-based architecture student and digital artist Ludvig Holmen works with photorealistic computer graphics to express his fantastic designs. His works combine art history with futuristic 3D design and tell unique and expressive stories relevant to our digital age.
Holmen grew up in Norway, but moved to London to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 2015. This has led to projects in both Amsterdam and Provence, while also making 3D graphics for the artist duo Broslo for their exhibition 'Happy Nuclear'.
He has many irons in the fire. He has the podcast 'Worms' where he talks about AI art, VR paintings and 3D scanning and much more with Lars Vågnes. He also recently launched the digital project 'Kingdoms of Ether' which is a modern fantasy world in Web3.
During his first solo exhibition 'Heroes of New', we will get to know different fantasy characters in Holmen's universe better. Here he recreates, among other things, well-known figures, events or works of art from medieval history and fiction, and places them in a modern world wearing designer armour.
